Opposition leader Tzipi Livni (Kadima) said Sunday that Israel-US relations have been politicized since Netanyahu became prime minister. "Netanyahu has turned Israel into a political subject within the internal US election campaigns, and this is a mistake," she said in a press release.

"Netanyahu must understand that Israel-US relations are essential for our existence. Our deterrence capabilities, our military capabilities, and our ability to take the initiative - these are all dependent on the United States," she added.
