Opposition leader Tzipi Livni discussed the upcoming Gaza flotilla with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Thursday in New York, according to a Kadima statement.

Livni said that anyone who wants to aid Gazan civilians should do so via the proper channels, rather than "grave provocations" like the flotilla.

Livni and Ban also discussed the Palestinian statehood bid, planned for September, and captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit, according to the statement.
