Opposition leader Tzipi Livni on Thursday addressed the victory of Shelly Yacimovich in Labor Party primary elections, saying, "I see the Labor Party as a natural partner of ours in the Zionist path to peace and a righteous society."

The heads of the two political parties, Livni said, have the common task of dealing with the challenges faced by the State of Israel.

The Kadima party chairwoman spoke with Yacimovich Wednesday night and congratulated her on her election victory. According to a statement released by Livni, the two agreed to meet in the near future.
