MK Dr. Nachman Shai criticized the Labor split designed by Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday.

Shai attacked the government's political moves, calling for Netanyahu to return the mandate to the people, "Israeli society is collapsing but Barak and Netanyahu are afraid only for their personal survival."

He further criticized Barak saying, "What remains to Barak? He doesn't have a party, he doesn't have voters, because according to projections from only a few hours ago his support dropped to the single digits.  His political platform was long forgotten.  All he's left with is the case and the prestige of his past positions."

Shai continued his harsh criticism of Netanyahu saying he is "the man who promised everything and did nothing, the man who declared last year two states for two peoples but is only left with one country for two peoples, the man who chose partners who are extorting him at any given moment, even as we are talking now, the man who locked Israel into an era of international isolation because he failed to block the dangerous decisions and destructive laws that this Knesset passed..."
