MK Hasson: 'Galant is an outstanding commander'

Kadima MK Yoel Hasson Sunday welcomed Defense Minister Ehud Barak's recommendation to appoint OC Southern Command Maj. Gen. Yoav Galant as the next IDF chief of staff while criticizing his handling of the replacement process.

"Ehud Barak has succeeded in choosing the next chief of staff and has appointed a fit man and outstanding commander who will be capable of continuing to lead the IDF through successful operations. At the same time, Barak has failed in this proccess and caused the IDF significant damage."
