MK Livni: security issues don't justify social injustice

"The echo of the emptiness here in the Knesset will echo also outside," said Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni, referring to the fact that only 20 MKs attended the Knesset emergency meeting on Tuesday. "There will be an end to this avoidance of responsibility and that end will come."

People say that we should have canceled this discussion because of what’s happening, Livni said. "Israel's security issues don't justify social injustice."

"I am familiar with the song that everyone talks about peace and no one talks about justice. All of these things are tied together."
