MK Rotem proposes law to strip powers from Supreme Court

MK David Rotem (Israel Beiteinu) announced that he intends to submit a bill that would divide the Supreme Court's powers among two courts, Channel 10 reported on Tuesday.

The proposed law would leave the powers of the High Court of Justice in the hands of the Supreme Court, but would remove appeals cases from it. A new body would deal with appeals, according to the report.
