Man sentenced to 20 years for parking-related stabbing

David Kabaz was sentenced Wednesday to 20 years in prison for stabbing Joseph Bavli in a 2008 quarrel over parking.
According to the indictment, Kabaz punctured the tires of Bavli's car for parking too close to the gate of his house. When Bavli attempted to enter Kabaz's house to find out why the tires were punctured, Kabaz stabbed him in the heart.
The court convicted Kabaz of manslaughter rather than murder because he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia.
