Man who threatened terror to 'South Park' creators arrested

A Virginia man who once warned that the creators of the hit cartoon "South Park" risked death by mocking the Prophet Muhammad was charged with providing material support to Somali terror group al-Shabab.
Twenty-year-old Zachary Chesser was arrested Wednesday.
According to court records, Chesser, also known as Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee, told federal agents that he twice tried to travel to Somalia to join al-Shabab as a fighter, once with his infant son in tow to help him evade scrutiny.
A court affidavit also states that Chesser corresponded with the radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki last year.
Chesser also told authorities that he used several online profiles to spread terrorist propaganda. The charges are unrelated to Chesser's postings regarding the "South Park" cartoon.
