MOSCOW- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday that the killing of Osama bin Laden is beneficial to Russian security, state-run news agencies reported.

Medvedev said "the liquidation of terrorists, even on the level of ... bin Laden, has a direct relationship to the level of security on the territory of our state," Itar-Tass reported.

He added that al-Qaida "has regularly sent and continues to send its emissaries" to Russia.
