Michael Jackson doctor found guilty of manslaughter

LOS ANGELES - Michael Jackson's personal doctor was found guilty on Monday of involuntary manslaughter in the pop star's death.
Dr. Conrad Murray had pleaded not guilty to giving the singer a fatal dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol, which was ruled as the main cause of his death on June 25, 2009.
Prosecutors argued during the six-week trial that Murray was grossly negligent in administering the propofol to help Jackson sleep as he prepared for a series of comeback concerts.
Defense attorneys said Jackson gave himself the fatal dose of propofol.
