A mother has been arrested in Bat Yam on Tuesday after police discovered that she had left two infants unattended in a car while she'd gone shopping.

Police were alerted by a passer-by to the presence of the babies, and arrived on the scene, finding two two-year-olds in the vehicle with the windows closed. The doors to the vehicle were left unlocked, and officers removed the infants from the car.

Police launched a search for the mother, finding the 37-year-old woman at a nearby shopping mall. She was arrested on the spot.
