Mourners bury late Rabbi Refael Shmuelevitz in Jerusalem

Thousands of haredi men participated in the funeral ceremony and procession for Rabbi Refael Shmuelevitz on Tuesday morning. He died on Monday night aged 78 having suffered from ALS for several years.

The rabbi was one of the yeshiva deans of the renowned Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem who was famous for his in depth Talmudic knowledge and served as an editor of the Encyclopedia Talmudit. He was buried in Jerusalem’s Har Menuchot cemetery.
