Mubarak's son promises more Egypt economic reform

The son of Egypt's president, Gamal Mubarak, says he will press ahead with further economic reforms that will be "more ambitious and more daring."
The younger of President Hosni Mubarak's two sons, Gamal Mubarak is a senior leader in the ruling National Democratic Party, which swept recent parliamentary elections in a vote rights groups say was marred by fraud and rigging.
Gamal Mubarak, who is widely expected succeed his father, is thought to be the architect of an ambitious package of economic reform that helped Egypt post impressive economic growth rates.
But the reform has failed to trickle down to Egypt's poor, sparking a growing number of street protests over demands for better pay and higher food prices.
