Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blasted Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's remarks on Saturday that called on Muslims worldwide on Saturday to unite against the United States.

"Israel knows very well how to defend itself against Iran's murderous regime." Netanyahu said in a statement Saturday night.

Rouhani was speaking on Saturday out against the sanctions the United States is imposing on Iran after US President Donald Trump pulled out of a 2015 international nuclear deal with Iran under which they had been lifted.

"Rouhani's hate speech calling for the destruction of Israel proves once again why the nations of the world should join the sanctions against the Iranian terror regime, which also threatens them. " Said Netanyahu.
