Egypt will not seek changes in its 1979 peace treaty with Israel, however the new Egyptian government's conduct towards Israel will differ greatly, Palestinian Authority official Nabil Sha'ath said Tuesday following talks with officials in Cairo, Army Radio reported.

Sha'ath expected a shift in Egypt's policy towards the border crossing in Gaza, Sha'ath told Palestinian newspaper Al-Ayyam after speaking with the new Egyptian Intelligence Chief and Egyptian Defense Minister.

"The crossings will be opened to Palestinian movement," Sha'ath said.
