Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat and Interior Minister Eli Yishai announced on Wednesday announced that a new Jerusalem neighborhood to be called "Morodot Arnona" will be built on fields of Ramat Rahel.

The neighborhood, which has been in the planning stages for over two years, will be 250 dunam.

The plan, which does not cross The Green Line, still has to be approved by the  Jerusalem District Planning and Building Committee.
