Obama phones Jordan's Abdullah to discuss peace efforts

In a phone conversation with Jordan's King Abdullah Friday night, US President Barack Obama discussed the necessary steps to advance the peace process and achieve a two state solution between Israel and the Palestinians Israel Radio reported Saturday.

Obama and Abdullah agreed that both parties need to support negotiation efforts since Israeli-Palestinian peace is fundamental to overall peace and stability throughout the region.
