Kulhood Badawi a public affairs officer in the Jerusalem office of the UN's Coordinator of Humanitarian Afffairs has been "dismissed" according to high-ranking officials at New York headquarters.
Badawi had been the target of a year-long investigation related to a bogus post on Twitter alleging that a pictured Palestinian girl had been killed by the IDF during the 2012 shelling of Gaza. Israel's UN Ambassador Ron Prosor had publicly called for Badawi's "firing."
