Oklahoma to appeal ruling on Islamic law ban

OKLAHOMA CITY — Attorneys for the state of Oklahoma will appeal a federal judge's ruling temporarily blocking a proposed voter-approved ban on the use of Islamic or international law.
The attorney general's office filed a notice of appeal in federal court in Oklahoma City late Wednesday.
More than 80 percent of voters approved State Question 755, which would amend the Oklahoma Constitution to prevent state courts from using Islamic law or international law.
