A man was killed and four were injured when a truck collided with a private car at the Yad Mordechai junction near Ashkelon Tuesday.

The initial investigation revealed the truck swerved and then hit the car from the back, crushing it.

One man was killed, and another 50-year old man was severely injured in the head and stomach. The other passengers of the car and the truck were in light to moderate condition.

The wounded were evacuated by helicopter to Barzilai hospital in Ashkelon for treatment.
