Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef praised Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday for the release of Gilad Schalit.
"You did well. There are always those who oppose. If there is no opposition then it means that the deal is not good," the rabbi said during a meeting with the prime minister.
Yosef also asked Netanyahu to work towards the release of Jonathan Pollard and Ilan Grapel, who are being held in the US and Egypt on spy charges.
