The Palestinian Authority marked the 36th annual Palestinian Prisoner's Day on Saturday in Ramallah, holding a parade attended by thousands calling for the release of all prisoners held by Israel.

During the event, the PA blamed Israel for the death of Raed Abu-Hamad at the Eshel prison facility in the south. Abu-Hamad, 31, was found dead yesterday and the police are investigating the reasons leading to his death.

According to estimates, 19,000 Palestinians were arrested since 2002 while 7,000 still remain jailed, including 330 minors.
