PM: Peace accord will necessitate Palestinian concessions

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, in his first public comments about the announcement of the re-launching of direct talks with the Palestinians, said Sunday the successful conclusion of the talks will necessitate concessions from the Palestinian side.

"I am aware that there is a great deal of skepticism after 17 years, and it is possible to understand why. We want to surprise all the skeptics, but for that we also need the other side," Netanyahu said at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting.
