PM allocates NIS 7.1m. to fight violence against women

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu called for the formulation of "a national plan on the struggle against violence against women" in Sunday's cabinet meeting.

The effort has been coordinated with Culture and Sports Minister Limor Livnat, Welfare Minister Yitzhak Herzog and Deputy Minister for the Advancement of Young People, Students and Women Gila Gamliel, and the goernment has invested NIS 7.1 million for "renovating shelters and giving grants to victims of violence in order to assist them in integrating into the labor market," Netanyahu said."I believe that these are necessary and underscore our commitment to rid society of this blight, and to fight it every way possible," the prime minister added.
