PMO delays Palmahim vacation village decision

The decision whether to approve or cancel the Palmahim vacation village project was deferred by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Sunday.
"The coastal shore is a unique natural resource that must be preserved for the public good," the PMO stated.
The PMO added that during the week Justice Minister Ya'acov Ne'eman was expected to find a legal compromise solution towards the public's interest in preserving the undeveloped beach property and the government's fiscal responsibility to compensate the project developers should the project be canceled after already receiving the regional building council's approval.
