PM's wife begs Yishai to let foreign workers' kids stay

Sarah Netanyahu pleaded with Interior Minister Eli Yishai to allow the children of foreign workers to stay in Israel in a letter received by the Interior Ministry on Friday, Channel 2 reported. The government voted earlier this month to deport approximately 400 children from Israel while allowing around 800 others to remain.
In the emotional letter, the prime minister's wife asked Yishai "from the bottom of my heart to use your authority to allow most of the 400 children to stay in Israel."
She added that she had expressed her opinion about the children of foreign workers to her husband on several occasions prior to the government's decision and that her entreaties may have influenced the prime minister's decision to let 800 of the children remain in Israel.
