The death toll in a twin suicide bombing in Pakistan's Lahore has risen to 39 and that nearly 100 others have been wounded, police said.
Senior police official Tariq Saleem Dogar said both attackers were on foot. The bombers were apparently aiming for army vehicles.
The Friday blasts were the second attack in the eastern city this week. They signal terrorists may be stepping up their assaults on the US-allied country after a relative lull in violence.
