Palestinian boy found hanged from tree near Bethlehem

A 12-year-old boy was found hanged on a tree near his family's home east of Bethlehem on Monday, Palestinian Authority police said in a statement, according to the Ma'an news agency.

Police are investigating the incident. The body of the boy, Yasser Abed Salaha from as-Salahat village, was removed to Beit Jala Hospital, where it will be transferred to his family for burial.

According to witnesses, the child was found dead at the site, Ma'an News reported.
