Five Palestinian workers were shot and taken to the hospital after IDF troops opened fire in what was described as a series of sniper attacks, Ma'an News Agency reported Tuesday.
The men said they were collecting stone fragments in the northern Gaza Strip near the evacuated settlement of Eli Sinai when the incident occurred. The men were first evacuated by donkey cart and then transferred to Red Crescent ambulances and admitted to the Kamal Udwan Hospital in Jabaliya.
An IDF spokeswoman said she was looking into the report, according to Ma'an.
