Scores of Palestinians demonstrated in Ramallah Tuesday evening in protest against "political arrests" by Palestinian Authority security forces.
The protesters said that the PA has arrested more than 130 "political activists" since September 19.
At least 30 of those arrested by the PA security forces had served time in Israeli prisons, the protesters said.
The PA says that the arrests were carried out for "security reasons" and that all those who were taken into custody are affiliated with Hamas.
The protesters marched from the center of Ramallah toward the Mukata "presidential" compound where they were blocked by PA policemen.
