RAMALLAH - Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas asked the Arab League on Saturday to convene a discussion of US President Barack Obama's vision for peace with Israel, a Palestinian official said.

The meeting would likely take place at month's end, the official said. Abbas has previously consulted with the Arab League on crafting Palestinian strategy vis-a-vis Israel, with which negotiations have been stalled since last year.
