Paratrooper injured as he lands in Golan Heights minefield

A military training accident occurred on Friday as a paratrooper released his parachute too early during an exercise and landed in a minefield in the Golan Heights.
Two fellow paratroopers reported the soldier is conscious as they await a rescue helicopter to reach the jump spot. The wounded soldier was reported to be lightly-to-moderately injured.
The soldier was ordered not to move from the landing spot until rescued. Magen David Adom and firefighting units have been ordered to avoid entering the minefield until the IDF and police can verify the locations of the various landmines planted in the area.
