Police confirmed on Wednesday that Aviv Ben-Bassat, a 21-year-old Petah Tikva resident, was arrested in connection to the murder of Roey Bring, a 35-year-old events hall owner in the city.

Bring was stabbed to death last week while trying to separate two youths who were involved in a fight outside the hall.

Ben-Bassat reenacted the incident for police, and maintains that he committed the act in self-defense.
