Police: Galant document forged; Barak, Ashkenazi cleared

Police issued a statement Thursday announcing that the "Galant document" is a forgery. According to the police, the complaint filed by the Arad Communcations office which claimed the document was made to appear as if it originated from the company, is well founded.

The police also cleared Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, and other staff officers in any involvement in the preparation of the "Galant document."

The police released the the intermediate conclusion as a result of immense public pressure.
