A number of people associated with the popular haredi news website B’hadarei Haredim were arrested on Sunday morning for involvement in blackmail and threats, Jerusalem police said on Sunday.
Detectives from the Jerusalem District made the arrests at the company’s offices in Tel Aviv. Police placed a media ban on details of the investigation, but the news website is believed to have been involved in threatening and blackmailing members of the haredi public, possibly including ties to the Jerusalem municipality. A number of additional arrests are expected in the coming days.
