The Holyland affair exposed a new standard in political corruption in Israel, Police chief Dudi Cohen said in a Rosh Hashana speech at Israeli Police national headquarters on Monday.

The Holyland affair was "the water line in public corruption," said Cohen.  He went on to praise the work of police investigators in the case and added the hope that an occurrence of such a level of corruption at high level would not occur again.
