Senior public officials, Knesset members and politicians submitted letters on Sunday in support of Kadima MK Tzahi Hanegbi asking Jerusalem Magistrates Court not to publicly shame him over his conviction for bearing false witness.

Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin, former President Yizhak Navon, MK Dalia Itzik and Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations Gabriela Shalev were just some of the public officials who showed their support for Hanegbi.
