The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court decided on Wednesday to release Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira from custody a day after the Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva head was arrested in connection with the investigation into the attack on a West Bank mosque.

The jurist cited a lack of evidence to prove that the rabbi knew the identities of the people responsible for the December 11 attack in the village of Yassuf

The head of the yeshiva in the Yitzhar settlement was called in for questioning on Sunday and arrived on Wednesday. However, Shapira refused to answer investigators' questions and was therefore placed under arrest.
