Former minister Haim Ramon, who is close to former prime minister Ehud Olmert, demanded that US right-wing Jews who filed countless complaints against Olmert have to be investigated, in an interview with Israel Radio Wednesday.

Ramon said: "They saw Olmert as the man who could bring an agreement with the Palestinians."

"Consider what two more years of Olmert would have been instead" of Netanyahu, said Ramon.

"I don't know what Olmert intends to do. Any thought of politics will result in firm opposition from his family," he added.
