Report: Galant gave testimony to police in document affair

OC Southern Command Maj.-Gen. Yoav Galant spoke to the police about the document uncovered by Channel 2 earlier this month which apparently lays out a PR plan by which he would be appointed to replace Gabi Ashkenazi as the next IDF Chief of General Staff, Channel 1 reported on Wednesday.

At this point Galant is not suspected of being involved in the writing of the "Galant document."

According to the report, additional IDF generals, including OC Northern Command Maj.-Gen. Gadi Eizenkot, were ordered to testify before the police in the matter.
