The Hamas leadership in Gaza is accusing Israel of causing floods in the Strip by "opening a dam in the Gaza City area, leading to the flooding of dozens of homes and the evacuation of hundreds of residents," Army Radio cited a Ma'an report Tuesday morning.

According to the Palestinian news agency, a senior Hamas official called on the international community to open an investigation into the crime carried out by Israel against the Palestinians.

Israel reportedly rejected the accusations.
