The IDF expects to receive a third battery of the "Iron Dome" rocket defense system in the next two months, Israel Radio reported. Three additional batteries are expected to be deployed in 2012.

An IDF source said that the "Iron Dome" system intercepted most of the Grad rockets fired from the Gaza Strip overnight Saturday at Ashkelon and Beersheba, according to the report. The source added, however, that the system is not capable of defending the entire city of Beersheba due to its large size.
