BEIRUT - The Syrian army said government forces repelled an insurgent attack in the southwestern outskirts of Aleppo early on Tuesday, state media reported.

It said the attack took place near the Ramousah area, which houses a military complex government forces and their allies recaptured earlier this month. The fighting came after a week-long ceasefire ended on Monday.
