Report: US drones collecting information in Syria

The United States has a "good number" of military and intelligence drones in Syrian skies to monitoring Syrian military activity against civilians and the opposition, NBC news reported Friday according to unnamed US defense officials.
The surveillance is not in preparation for US intervention. Instead, the Obama administration hopes that it can use evidence of Syrian President's Bashar Assad's crackdown on anti-government activists to influence the international community to respond to the violence in Syria, according to the report.
