Rocks thrown at National Union MKs vehicle near Kalandia

Three Knesset Members from the National Union party had rocks thrown at their vehicles next to the Kalandia checkpoint on Thursday.
MKs Michael Ben Ari, Arieh Eldad, and Uri Ariel were touring the area when Arab residents from Kfar ‘Akav threw rocks at the fleet of vehicles. Two journalists, one from Arutz 7 and one from Channel 1, were injured lightly when rocks hit them in the face. Both were reportedly treated on the scene by Eldad, who is a doctor, before being brought to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. Damage was caused to all of the vehicles.
Kfar ‘Akav is one of the few neighborhoods of Jerusalem that is located on the West Bank side of the separation fence, meaning that the MKs had to pass through the Kalandia checkpoint in order to visit. This is not the first time that rocks have been thrown at a National Union MKs touring east Jerusalem. In October, during a tour of Beit Yehonatan in Silwan, rocks were thrown at a car carrying members of the National Union party and members of the Knesset Control Committee.
