A Romanian citizen was arrested Tuesday by detectives on suspicion of assaulting and abusing a helpless, elderly woman.

Police suspected that the Romanian caretaker attacked the elderly woman, while she was under her care in Bnei Brak.  She was arrested after the family of the elderly woman filed a complaint.

The caretaker will appear before the Tel Aviv Magistrate Court for an extension of detention hearing on Tuesday.
