Russia has agreed to supply Lebanon with advanced military helicopters, Al-Nahar reported on Friday, citing a statement made by Lebanese President Michel Suleiman.
Upon returning from a visit to Moscow, Suleiman reportedly said that Russia would provide Lebanon with Mi-24 helicopters to replace the military’s MiG-29 warplanes.
The Lebanese army had requested advanced helicopters that could carry missiles.
