Russian pilot missing in Darfur copter incident

UNITED NATIONS — The UN-African Union representative in Darfur said Tuesday a helicopter that landed in the wrong place has been recovered with all the passengers and crew except the Russian pilot.
Ibrahim Gambari said the helicopter assigned to the UN-AU peacekeeping force disappeared Monday while transporting rebel group members negotiating a peace deal with the government to locations in South Darfur.
He said peacekeepers made contact with three of the four crew on the Russian-owned helicopter.
