Rwanda genocide suspect guilty of US visa fraud

WASHINGTON - A man US authorities accused of being involved in genocide in Rwanda was convicted of visa fraud in federal court in Kansas on Tuesday but jurors split over whether he lied about his role in the mass killings.
Lazare Kabaya Kobagaya, 84, was accused of directing members of his Hutu ethnic group to burn the homes of the rival Tutsi group in 1994 and participating in other attacks against them in which hundreds were killed.
